The School Bag Distribution Program, initiated by Disciples Community to support vulnerable children in Tegeta Community, successfully provided school bags to 15 deserving children.
The primary goal of the School Bag Distribution Program is to alleviate the financial burden on vulnerable families and ensure that children have the necessary tools to pursue their education. By providing school bags, we aim to enhance the students’ learning experience and contribute to their overall well-being.
During needs assessment from low-income families and those facing socio-economic challenge at Tegeta Ward in Kindondoni District in Dar es Salaama Region, 75 children take their books to schools without any bags, they often carry them in bare hands or worn-out bag.
Thanks to the collaborative efforts of Smile Collection, volunteers, donors, and the community. The impact on the lives of these 15 children is a testament to the positive change that community-driven initiatives can bring.
