Who we are
Disciples Community is a Non-Government Organization that exist to support education, health, livelihood and inclusion by raising awareness on human right violation, promoting community transformation and empowering peoples socio-economic growth.
Our Approach
Disciples Community apply the principle of Agape love Luke 10:27 “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,’ and ‘your neighbor as yourself”. Therefore, we work to strengthen people’s heart, mind and soul through spiritual, social, physical and emotional well-being. Also, apply the Universal Values Leave no one behind (LNOB) the central, transformative promise of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
DC work with community (faith and non-faith leader) to identify and deliver services to community members who are in need. We use community leaders because they know and are trusted by the community members who are in need.
It also, builds referral and strong relationship with various partners such as church, home, professionals to provide direct support services, such as mentorship, counselling, health services, shelter, and legal support to youth, stigmatized children, pregnant women, and unmarried mothers who are stigmatized and rejected by their families.
